ENHYPEN Unveils Official Characters “Enchins”

ENHYPEN has introduced six official characters named “Enchins,” which means “friends of the fandom.” Revealed on the group’s social media accounts this morning on the 7th, these characters are Wanchu (Jungwon), Noksta (Jay), Jekki (Jake), Snowy (Sunghoon), Kishu (Sunoo), and Funny (Ni-ki). Each member’s unique personality is transformed into the character’s distinct ability. The adorable appearance of these characters, which closely mirrors the members’ features, has earned them widespread acclaim.

“Enchins” were created as a new channel for communication with fans. Their concept involves secretly bringing luck and comfort to fans throughout their day, and appearing whenever people need laughter to spread happiness. They are designed to move freely wherever there is a bag containing an ENGENE badge, helping to create precious and joyful everyday moments with fans.

Wanchu has soft jelly-like feet that make those who shake hands with him feel happy, while Noksta possesses the ability to boost energy through guitar playing. Jekki is portrayed as an energetic dog that inspires courage, and Snowy is identified as a white dog that brings warmth and comfort to fans. Kishu, themed around relationships and choices, is a loyal friend who would do anything for his companions, and Funny’s role is to grant luck to help fans make the right decisions.

The members themselves participated directly in creating these characters. A behind-the-scenes video uploaded to their official YouTube channel on the 5th and 6th shows them actively offering suggestions on every detail, from names and appearances to preferences and abilities, as they shaped the characters. EP.1 features Jungwon, Jay, and Jake, detailing the process from sketching to finalizing these characters, while EP.2 includes Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki, showing how the characters took shape step by step. By sharing their ideas and giving feedback on revisions, they refined the characters’ personalities, infusing “Enchins” with their own tastes and worldview.

ENHYPEN plans to launch various projects centered around “Enchins” in the future.
