NCT 127’s Jaehyun Returns with New Song “99 Degrees” – First Release After Discharge

NCT 127 member Jaehyun (Jeong Yoon-oh, 28) is making a comeback with his solo single “99 Degrees.” He shared updates about his current status through a fashion photoshoot, showcasing a more mature image.

In the Prada photoshoot released on the 23rd, Jaehyun wore a long coat in bold colors. Against a green background, he paired it with a yellow knit and dark-toned pants, adopting a relaxed pose with one hand holding a bag and the other in his coat pocket. He announced the photoshoot with the short caption “@wkorea @prada.”

As a member of NCT 127, Jaehyun has been active in various sub-units such as NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT Doyeong & Jungwoo. Within NCT 127, he forms part of the group alongside Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan, serving as the Main Vocal and lead dancer.

Jaehyun’s solo activities began in August 2024 with the release of his first full-length album “J.” He showcased his unique musical style through the pre-release singles “Roses/Dandelion” and “Unconditional.” The track “Smoke” secured him his first win on a mainstream music program, achieving first place on “Show! Music Core” and winning one award overall after his solo debut. He also contributed emotional vocals to SM STATION projects like “Try Again” and “Dear My Family,” and demonstrated his low-frequency range and wide vocal range through NCT LAB tracks “Forever Only” and “Horizon.”

In 2025, he continued his diverse activities. He participated in the track “Call It Off” as a feature artist and contributed to the drama OST “Bara Bwojwoyo.” He starred as Kim Jun-woo in the film “6 Hours Later, You Die,” and appeared as Cha Min-ho in the youth drama “Dear M” aired on KBS joy and KBS 2TV.

He was also active in variety shows and hosting roles. He appeared on “Law of the Jungle in Fiji” in 2017, as well as programs like “Happy Together” and “The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears.” At a New Year’s special event in 2019, he competed in bowling and scored 243 points. He served as a regular host on the music program “Show Champion” alongside Doyoung from 2015, and hosted “SBS Inkigayo” together with Minhyuk and INa-eun from October 2019 to February 2021.

Jaehyun enlisted in the Army Band on November 4, 2024, and was discharged on May 3, 2026. Since his discharge, he has been preparing to resume both group and solo activities.
