NMIXX’s Sullyoon Tears Up During World Tour Over Back Pain: “It Was My Choice”

NMIXX member Sullyoon shed tears due to back pain during the group’s first world tour. She ignored advice from JYP Entertainment and medical staff to rest and performed on stage, later stating, “I wish I had listened to the doctor next time.”

Sullyoon explained the onset of her pain through social media. She mentioned that strain seemed to begin during dress rehearsals, noting that although she applied ice packs, took medication, and slept, the pain worsened upon waking.

Both JYP Entertainment and the hospital advised her to rest, but Sullyoon insisted on performing, saying, “I wanted to perform even a little bit.” She added, “If it hurts too much, I’ll sit down.” Sullyoon underwent various treatments, including laser therapy, and recalled that during one injection session, she cried so much that her bed became soaked with tears.

Videos titled “Sullyoon Performing While Crying” spread online and on social media, sparking concern among fans. In the performance footage, Sullyoon could be seen touching her back and moving carefully, clearly showing discomfort unlike her usual energetic stage presence. Fans expressed worry about her health while also holding the agency accountable.

NMIXX is currently on its first world tour, “EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER.” Starting with a show in Bangkok on the 13th, the tour continues across five Asian cities, including Singapore, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
