B.I. Recalls Park Jin-young’s Suggestion for Plastic Surgery When He Was a Trainee

Singer and actor B.I. revealed a past instance when he considered having plastic surgery during his early career. He stated that he actually visited a hospital but decided against the procedure based on the doctor’s advice.

On the episode of SBS Power FM’s “Two O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show” that aired on the 13th, when the topic “The Man Who Looks Best with Double Eyelids” came up, B.I. admitted, “I used to want to get double eyelid surgery.” Singer Hwang Chi-yeol appeared as a special DJ for that show.

B.I. recalled, “My eyes were extremely puffy, so back when I was a Trainee, Park Jin-young suggested, ‘Let’s get double eyelid surgery and ear pull surgery before you Debut.’” He explained the situation by saying, “I actually went to a plastic surgery clinic intending to have both ear pull surgery and double eyelid surgery.”

However, the attending doctor advised, “This person shouldn’t do this. If we fix the eyes, we’ll need to alter the chin, nose, and mouth as well. Your features are in good harmony now.” B.I. revealed the behind-the-scenes reason he gave up the surgery by saying, “From the hospital’s perspective, they need to generate revenue, so it must have been difficult for them to say that. It was a very famous doctor at the time.”

B.I. debuted in 1998 as a member of the group “Fanclub,” went through training at JYP Entertainment, and officially made his solo debut in 2002. He declared independence by founding his own agency in 2008 and is currently active under “Rain Company.” He continues his acting career by appearing in the drama “Hunters 2,” which was released on Netflix recently.
