SMTR25 Faces Severe Harassment from Stalker Fans Before Debut: Unauthorized House Break-ins and Physical Contact

The male trainee group SMTR25, under SM Entertainment, has reported serious violations of their privacy caused by stalker fans even before their Debut. On March 25, SM posted a lengthy announcement on its official channels to highlight the severity of the situation.

There have been repeated instances of unauthorized intrusions into SMTR25’s residence, along with persistent violations of privacy such as forced physical contact and uninvited rides in taxis. The members are suffering extreme distress due to these actions. Noise pollution also occurs, as people shout the trainees’ names inside the building. Other issues include illegal dumping of trash and unauthorized entry into areas restricted to residents.

The harm affects not only the members but also the residents living in the same building. SM expressed concern, stating, “These stalker fans are instilling a sense of anxiety in trainees who have not yet even made their official Debut, and the situation is so severe that nearby residents are also complaining about the discomfort.”

SM has already attempted to address the problem through measures such as verbal warnings and deploying security teams, but the situation has not improved, leading the company to reach its limits. The company warned, “If these issues are not resolved immediately, we will take proactive legal action to ensure the safety of our trainees and residents, protect their privacy, and prevent crime, applying a zero-tolerance approach.”

SMTR25 is a male trainee group consisting of 15 members, with 2 to 3 sub-units within the group set to make their official debut as idol groups this year.
